This book is based on over thirty years' practical experience of coaching boys and girls.

It contains schedules for all running events onthe track and for distances up to the full marathon on the road.

Bruce Tulloh was in charge of Athletics and Cross-country at Marlborough Colelge for twenty years, and has also coached successfull in Kenya and the USA.

Since the first edition was published in 1982, Bruce's athletes have won All-England titles on the track and at cross-country, and many of those whom he coached as teenagers have gone on to become full GB internationals.
