This is the only book published in Britain which is devoted specially to the older runner of both sexes.

Before writing, the authors sent out a questionnaire to hundreds of veteran runners, and the book encapsulates their experience as well as that of the authors.

It starts with an explanation of the way in which age affects performance and then, starting with the complete beginner, sets out training programmes leading up to competitive levels of performance on the road and on the track. Special attention is given to the popular distances - 10K, Half and full Marathon.
